Sun is shining, birds are huddling?

It is a beautiful day here in the Midwest but it is COLD. Not biting cold but that could be debatable. For someone living in CA for the past 10 years, it is probably biting cold but I have been here for 37 years so this is just cold. Not freezing cold, not biting cold, not frigid cold... it's just cold. Oh my bad, COLD. And I am sure the birds who are here are probably huddling because they certainly are not singing.

Regardless of the weather, I am thankful for this day. My oldest son is in 6th grade and they put on a World's Fair every year. Today was the this year's World's Fair and I am so grateful I was there. All the kid's costumes and display posters looked great. Everyone did a fab job. One of the boys in another class pulled me aside to show me his display and talk to me about England. I enjoyed it, so much, that I flagged down his teacher to tell her. Turns out, this boy is one who could use the encouragement so I am glad I said something.

I snapped some pictures of my oldest with his project and some of his friend's with their projects. I talked with other parents who were there. It was a great time. My son's country was Austria. Another student had Germany (Austria's main language is German in case you didn't know) in another row and turns out they have the same Cricut letter set we have because they used the same ones for their poster as my son used for his. Same colors too - red and black! My son and I laughed about that!

Blessings to all!
